Design Studio II – Spring 2021

Project Description

As an exploration of the impact of music and design, this project started as a two-dimensional mapping of different moments within the song Sea Wall by Hanz Zimmer which had evoked some emotional response. These initial mappings were then refined to represent specific moments from the song, with the intention of translating an auditory experience into a two dimensional composition. These visual compositions were then translated into a three-dimensional concept model which was extrapolated to be an atypical dwelling for a variety of sea life as well as visiting divers inspired by the ubiquitous concrete tetrapod.
